Head Coach Swimming & Water Polo

Swimming and water polo is not only my passion but in our family for generations. Swimming six days a week and achieving great success took hard work and dedication for me. Winning the HS States Championship for St. Joseph's Metuchen was one of my swimming career highlights. Tough a very fast swimmer, I found more success utilizing my speed in water polo. Growing up in Europe, I became one of the youngest Junior National team members for Romania. As a player in the USA, I was the MVP at the 1992 Eastern Championships, gold medal winner at the 1992 and silver medal winner at the 1993 Junior Olympic Championship, also a member of the Junior National Team. Recently I became the head coach for the Princeton Community Park BLUEFISH swim team.

Swimming Assistant Coach

A Rider University graduate with a degree in secondary education and history. I have a long history in aquatics through various area YMCA's and I am currently working as an Aquatics Director in another New Jersey YMCA. My passion has always been for swimming, and I am very happy to be part of the NJ Stingrays family!

My personal swimming philosophy places an emphasis on stroke refinement and technique. I may not have my swimmers do massive stroke sets, but I will have them trying drills and practice techniques to improve their strokes and make their overall swimming more efficient. Most importantly, I want my swimmers to have fun and do their very best in the water. If we as coaches can do that, we help the child grow as a swimmer and build a successful competitive swimming outlook. As Michael Phelps once said, "Everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it and put the work and time into it."

Swim Team Manager & Coach

My love for swimming started back in middle school. I was very accomplished figure skater, but no longer could handle all the injuries associated with the sport. I turned to swimming for physical therapy, and found myself completely immersed with the sport. Competing for Rutgers Prep High School, and later swimming club for Thomas Jefferson University, I realized that swimming will always be part of my life. With that motivation in mind Andy and I decided to start the Stingrays swim team. Proud to say we started with only 3 swimmers, and look at us now. My motto for any athlete is "It is never late to start any sport, especially swimming."
